The Estate
In nearly 8 years of living in London, I’ve still managed not to tick off a few of it’s major attractions. Just a few weeks ago I did Maltby Street Market for the first time, and the week after, a trip to Barbican.
I’m almost glad that I left it until now to visit – I’m not sure that a younger Carrie would have appreciated the Brutalist architecture of the estate as much as I did on our recent trip. There is such ugliness there, but in the coolest way possible. The Grade II listed buildings were built in the 60s and 70s. Fountains and a lake sit in the middle of the site, and look like...
