The Legal Bit
“How to get married?”
So, whilst I’ve talked quite extensively about our wedding day in Portugal, it wasn’t actually the day Miguel and I were legally married. Of course, we treated it as our wedding day in every single way, but that didn’t mean that by law we were married.
Due to it being slightly more complicated to do the legal bit abroad in Portugal (involving translating birth certificates etc), we decided that we’d do something as low-key as we possibly could in London. And this is when I had to get Googling.
It was at this point that I realised I had no clue how to actually get married....
