There’s a popular tradition about wearing something red on New Year’s Eve. Allegedly, donning something red on NYE brings good luck throughout the year to come. Actually that something red should be our underwear. But this tradition comes from the Middle Ages, when wearing red in public was forbidden. So I guess now it applies to our whole NYE outfit.
