Remember the good old days when "preppy" meant giant white sunglasses, teased blonde hair, a low-rise light-wash pleated denim skirt, rhinestone encrusted tank top, and flip flops? I'm talking Simple Life, small dog, Ashlee Simpson status. The year was 2006. All American Rejects and Danity Kane dominated airwaves. Logos like Von Dutch and Juicy Couture determined who was popular and who was shopping at (yuck!) Hot Topic in middle school. Chunky flip flops, layered tank tops, and popped collars were the norm... if you were cool. Man, I miss my youth. My REAL youth. Seventh grade, pool parties, cheerleading try-outs, arbitrary social hierarchies. The golden days of yore!...
