My Favorite Year: 1973
I was 13 years old with not a care in the world, except for owning the perfect bell bottoms and crepe-soled boots. What's a huge lapel without a John Lennon pin? A double large lapel is even better! The newsboy hat came from a family friend. It was a gift to my son when he was only 3. 10 years later I washed it up and its now one of my favorites. The pin was made by my Granddad probably 50 years ago. I'm shocked I still have it. I think I stole it from my mother's jewelry box the day I moved out of the house.
