From blog What Lizzy Loves
Tie Neck Print Smock Dress and Knee High Navy Tasseled Boots The 1970s has never been a favourite style era of mine. Compared to the simple styles of the sixties, I find it to be quite garish with busy patterns and a colour palette that is quite often jarring. However, it has been revisited over the last few seasons and I when I saw this dress, I realised that it pays a quiet homage to the decade but with a modern twist that made it very appealing to my eye. I absolutely love everything about it from the autumnal colour palette, the almost painterly brush-stroke pattern to the tie neckline. The waistline stops it from looking too "wafty" and the dress is floaty but not shapeless, so it manages not to stray into Good Life...
