Detroit // Eastern Market
This weekend I whisked Ben away for a belated Father's Day overnight trip to Detroit. We've been wanting to go for a while and see all the new improvements to 'America's Comeback City' and to visit Belle Isle. My parents were gracious to watch Winston for us and we had the best time. We started our trip by exploring Belle Isle. We grabbed some mediterranean cuisine to-go (YUM) from Hamtramck and enjoyed it picnic-style on the island. It was about 85 and sunny both days of our trip- perfect! Once we finished our picnic lunch we explored the Belle Isle aquarium and the Anna Whitcomb conservatory .
