It was good to be away, and it's good to be back. It's hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that we are now nearly three weeks into June, like time should have stopped passing while I was away, yet thinking back to the first day in San Francisco feels like forever ago. The time difference between the coasts is tough - at least in California it could be used to advantageously avoid lines at popular breakfast places, since I was wide awake at 6 a.m. This past weekend however, I felt like I had lead weights attached to my eyelids if I tried to get up before noon and falling asleep earlier than 3 a.m. was challenging.
