She ran after adventure, like she ran after most other things in life. Quickly and with intention, gaze fixed ahead, eyes locked, heart reassuringly pounding in time with each step forward. And just as she was surely out of sight, her silhouetted shape just a hint of a person now, her head turned ever so slightly to look back — not to regret what she had left behind, but more to appreciate what she had ahead.
