The odd one out

The rain is clattering against the windows and I have the lights on inside because it's almost too dark to see without. We might have felt the first signs of Spring this weekend, the April Showers haven't been too long in coming. My friend S came by our apartment for the first time on Friday and brought me gorgeous Spring Snowflakes (Leucojum) in a fine white flower pot. On our windowsill sit two more pots with daffodils, who's beauty is slowly starting to fade. If it weren't for the abundance of greenery we have inside right now, I'd never guess it was Spring when looking out the window. So, instead of going into town as planned I'm sitting at the kitchen table...
