Kamakura For the last of our Tokyo trip, we wanted to head out of the city proper and into a more traditional setting. Kamakura – at the south of Tokyo and just a train ride away, was just the right place. It was perfectly peaceful, photogenic and filled with beautiful Zen temples and Shinto Shrines. There are so many places you can tour around in Kamakura, but we decided to made our way to the Hokokuji temple. We spent the afternoon walking along the magestic bamboo grove and even saw burial caves that were carved into the hillsides which are believed to hold the ashes of some Ashikaga lords. Definitely head out there if you’re looking for a break from modern...
