One of my favorite things about Southern California is all of the blooming bougainvillea. They’re everywhere and so bright and eye popping that you can’t miss them. This was the first weekend where we actually felt like we were waking up on a spring morning- the sun was warm, the birds were singing and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. We had a leisurely afternoon roaming around our hotel before heading out to a lunch spot recommended by many.
