my old roomie justine (who i finally got to see this weekend & just recently moved to boston) told me she loves visiting nyc because as a tourist she can actually enjoy all it has to offer. it made perfect sense to me. i always mope about how badly i wish i lived here (which i do), but it is ALMOST better as an outsider. when i did live here i was so busy working & rushing that i began to take it for granted. every time i visit i savor every second of wandering the streets aimlessly, touching endless amounts of beautiful vintage and seeing old familiar faces. it's the perfect getaway. i spent this day grabbing venezuelan arepas with a friend from miami,...
