A Trip Back In Time at The Cloisters This weekend was a cold one! On Sunday we had our first real snow of the season. Monday was a Federal Holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day so Gerhard and I took the opportunity to go on a little adventure. We headed way uptown to the Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of New York tucked away in the lovely Tryon Park in Washington Heights. The museum and gardens which opened in 1938 are dedicated to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. We braved the cold and long trek (about an hour) from Williamsburg to 190th Street to reach the Museum.
