a snowy new year

It's fun to be far enough in the woods that the snow stays pristine, none of that dirty city slush I'm used to seeing. Christopher gave me this pair of heavy duty winter boots (made by Bogs) for Christmas, in the best shade of oxblood. They make my feet look even more ginormous but they are perfect for stomping around in the snow. I'm a teensy bit sad to say goodbye to our dragged out fall weather, but also eager to dig into my hats and scarfs and thick sweaters.
