Water water everywhere!
We’d been planning to climb The Cobbler yesterday but severe weather conditions on Friday led to the road being closed. As there was only a 10% chance of getting a cloud-free Munro and it was still chucking it down we decided to take an ‘if you can’t beat it, join it’ approach and headed north to Fort William to do the Nevis Gorge.
It’s a short 1.5 hour walk that’s rated as being easy although the sign at the start of the walk highlights the risk of fatalities – yikes!
After you’ve walked up the gorge you emerge into a meadow with a great view of the Steall Falls:
