Advent Day 4- I don't like mincepies
Today's Advent calendar reveals a secret (or according to CBC who says I broadcast my dislikes to the world as a matter of course), Scrooge-part of me. I HATE MINCEPIES! AND CHRISTMAS PUDDING AND CHRISTMAS CAKE Horrid, nasty stuff. Can't stand dried fruit mixed in things. Urgh! I'll eat raisins on their own but that is it! Why dry something that is perfectly good fresh and on its own! Why mix it with things? Why steep it in nasty sherry, brandy, wine or whatever horrid alcohol bitter tasting things one does! Urgh! "Tis the season to spread vitriol over dried fruit recipes! Bah Humbug!" :-) So, if I come to yours, crack open...
