1950s GEM
I picked up this 1950s Suzy Perette dress I found at the flea market I went to last week. I have read a few places that Suzy Perette was on of the few companies licensed to reproduce some of Dior’s “New Look” patterns, but I can’t find any verification of this rumor! The dresses they produced in the 1950s were exquisite. One of my very favorite Texas-born designers Victor Costa went on to work under the Suzy Perette label in the late sixties/early seventies. I get very excited when I find a Victor Costa for Suzy Perette label when I’m out hunting vintage! Finding this dress made the vintage dweeb inside...
