Lisbon Diaries: Baixa and Central Lisbon This is the final of my blog posts about my mini break in Lisbon and I'm pleased to report that the rain stopped and the sun came out for two of our days there. For a major European capital, I was surprised by just how quaint it was. The architecture is beautiful and very pretty. No skyscrapers or modern buildings at all. Many buildings are adorned with exquisite tiles. This beautiful baroque fountain is one of two on The Praco Dom Pedro IV, which is the main central square in the Baixa district of Lisbon.
