Confidence Confessions…with Aerie
Two years ago, I was getting ready to do a photo shoot that I was really excited about… until I saw the photographer’s portfolio. Why? He loved photoshopping girls to the extreme. To the point where they looked like aliens (and that’s without getting into how he would ask girls to drop 30 pounds before he “could” shoot them). For a moment I felt like I wasn’t enough—hey, I’m just 5’1 and I have curves, nowhere near his “model standards.” But I realized I wasn’t going to let him do that.
