pencil + chambray
This outfit was inspired by the idea of wearing a chambray with a black pencil skirt, seen somewhere on the internets. However, if you have a dark gray/black chambray, you wear that instead. And you wear some summer-y black wedges before the cooler weather sets in. But you might also take them off to frolic a bit. What I really like about this look is that it incorporates elements of professionalism (the pencil skirt and heels) and a more casual feel (the chambray). Paired together, they strike the perfect balance for a day at the office where a skirt feels appropriate, but you don't want to be too too fancy....
