Spent a day at The quirky Henry Hotel in Manila, feeling so old world in their heritage homes turned into hotel rooms. The hotel staff were all dressed in buttoned up blue polos and matching black frame-only specs which I thought was so cute. My other favorite thing? Bedroom slippers that spelled right on one foot and wrong on the other. Breakfast was served on the porch by the lobby, facing a beautiful garden fountain. If someone had slipped me a potion that made me forget where I was and I woke up at a place like this, I’d totally think I travelled back in time and landed in a colonial Filipino home. For such an old, far away place, it’s homey...
