I find the phrase “a pop of color” to be a heinous cliché. Kind of like “day-to-night.” That’s not to say I don’t like pops of color. In fact, I’m a big fan, as you might have noticed if you have functioning eyeballs (style blogs are probably lost on you otherwise). Sometimes I even go with two pops of different colors like I did here. I just hate calling them that because everyone else does. But I guess there really isn’t a better phrase. It’s like “moist” – everyone seems to hate that word, but there’s not a great alternative when you want to describe something moist...
