The Stanley Cup Goes to Work
I am not a sports fan. I only watch sports on tv when I’m visiting family. And since most of my family ARE huge sports fans, I’m always vaguely aware of what’s going on.
I also live in a city that LOVES sports. I mean, seriously. Chicago has two pro baseball teams, a pro football team, a pro soccer team, pro basketball teams, and, in case you missed it, we have a pro hockey team that just won the national championship aka The Stanley Cup.
The Chicago Blackhawks also won the championship back in 2013 and since at the time I worked right next to where the congratulatory rally was being held, I made sure to wear the team colors to work .
