A Different World
My Memorial Day week was spent wandering the halls of Hillman College as "A Different World" has been added to Netflix. I even couldn't help but to be inspired fashion wise by Denise Huxtable, who wasn't on the show long, but who I probably identified with the most on the show. As I watched, I couldn't help but to think of how important it is to see images that you can see yourself in represented in the media. As a black, biracial, and plus size woman these are still images that are underserved in the media. "A Different World" sent me to college and indirectly is a large part of why I am who I am today.
