Weekly Capsule 20.2: Uncovered
We got some rain over the weekend, so it’s been blessedly cool this week, meaning it’s in the lower 90’s instead of nearing 100. It also means that I can bring out my sleeveless tops – I know, sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s actually better to cover up when it’s sunny out. In Vietnam during the summer, pretty much the only people you see wearing shorts and sleeveless tops are tourists. The locals (especially the women) are all in these long-sleeved robes designed to block out the sun and the dust. I don’t wear it because my commute is only 15 minutes on the bike, but sometimes even I feel like I need one.
