Things I Learned About Wearing Lace Give me lace and leather any day! I've said this many times in the past, but for a long time I didn't wear lace because it didn't feel like "me"--it always seemed too "romantic" and soft to suit my personality. That is, until I learned a few things. If you feel like I did about lace pieces, then here are a few of the things I learned to help me work them into my wardrobe--and now LOVE them! 1. Pair them with "tougher" or more structured pieces. I totally love lace with leather, because leather balances out the feminine nature of lace details. Leather or structured shoes or bags work, too.
