Note: this post is not indicative of the state of my current relationship, but inspired from one afternoon's worth of should-have-had-something-better-to-do simultaneous channel surf of episodes of Girls, Sex and the City, and that awful movie, The Break-Up.
There is something both scintillating and terrifying about dating someone new. The prospect of finding out tidbits and sweet quirks about someone, the giddiness over the thought of that cute new almost-stranger thinking "who, little ole me?" is interesting and attractive. And ... the anxiety over having to "act your best" so as not to scare the new person away, the potential awkwardness of trying to find common...
