Recently I was reflecting on the story of Jesus walking on water in Mathew 14: 22-33 . This is a pretty sweet miracle, but not really the part that has me thinking. It's the part where Peter asks Jesus to let him walk on water too. And he does. Peter made a request, had faith, and Jesus granted it. The story doesn't end there, though. Even though Jesus has literally made it possible to Peter to do the impossible, Peter sees the wind and begins to doubt and sink. He calls out to Jesus, he takes his hand, and they both make it safely back to the boat. I'm drawn to the humanity of Peter, as I think we can all be "Peter" sometimes. I...
