Take it to the limit one more time
Climbed Buachaille Etive Mor (one of Scotland’s most famous and most photographed mountains) yesterday. It was a steep ascent all the way and we did it in 2.5 hours, which isn’t bad going – especially considering it was a super hot day so lots of water stops were needed.
I walk and swim a fair bit but am unused to the intensity of a climb like this so found it quite challenging. The craggy scramble before the final walk up to the summit was pretty much the limit of what I can take with my borderline phobia of being out on a ledge and my ropey sense of balance.
I confess to having a bit of moment around 2,500 feet up when I sat on a narrow ridge...
